Yahoo! Music will host the world premiere of Miranda Lambert’s new video “Kerosene” on Thursday, September 29. Miranda, the Top Selling Country Debut Artist of 2005 and CMA Horizon Award nominee, invited Travis Howard, fellow Nashville Star finalist and co-writer of 3 songs on Miranda’s CD /Kerosene, /to appear as her love/hate interest in the video. “Kerosene” was shot outside of Austin, in rural Dripping Springs in the 100 degree Texas heat on a set constructed for the movie "The Alamo."
“My director, Trey Fanjoy, thinks this might be the coolest video she’s ever made.” says Miranda. “I really tried to act the part in this video, which is hard for me because I’m no actress! Trey kept telling me to think of things that make me mad so that it would show in my eyes. So I just thought about all of the salads I ate for three weeks leading up to the shoot! It must have worked!”
To see Miranda’s new video log on to Yahoo Music! on September 29 or tune into CMT where “Kerosene” will make its television debut as one of CMT’s four Hot Shot videos and will go into Hot Shot rotations.
Fans can also get a glimpse into Miranda’s personal life as well as what it is like to tour with Keith Urban by logging on to www.cmt.com and reading her Road Diary.
The Road Diary chronicles Miranda’s experience touring and day to day life as a new country artist. Miranda can also be seen in an upcoming USA Today feature, the November issue of CosmoGirl, on the November cover of Texas Music Magazine and on Austin City Limits’ January 28 show with Gretchen Wilson.
